Tobi: DIY 'Circle The Dots' Maxi Dress

I haven't done any personal style posts lately - simply because there's been no one around to take my pictures! For Femi's birthday last weekend, I decided to take a cue from my very artsy sister (who designs practically everything she wears) and design something for myself!  Here's what I came up with: a mixed polka maxi dress with wrap-style top. I'm wearing the dress with a DIY Pearl Cluster necklace made by my other artsy sister, Dami.

Femi had two parties (yep, you heard right!)- one at an orphanage with a few select friends and family (and many deserving little kids) and another for her school mates and friends! Here we are at the orphanage...

What do you think of this dress? Did I do a good job-
or should I leave designing to the designers? :)
Holla back...

The Lone Artsy: Where Are My Sisters?

I have been so lonesome lately. I am certain a lot of our blog friends would like to know why my artsy sisters have been a little scarce lately...

                           Femi
Stylish, simple and innovative, Femi is currently writing semester exams.

Creator of uber-awesome ethnic and contemporary jewelry, Dami has been incredibly busy, working (with some friends!) on a DIY & lifestyle magazine (details later..)
Dami
While they have both been checking up on the blog from time to time and adding considerable input to our posts, there is nothing quite like having them around! They will be back soon though - and I am looking forward to having them back 'here.with.me.where.they.belong'!

Dami: Matched Pair

I do so love to play around with chains... just made these stacked chains with dual-coloured earrings!

What do you think? Would you wear these?

Dami: Rainbow-Bright Pops of Colour ...tempered with a hint of steel

There's nothing more exciting than glamming up dull outfits with a dash of neon-rainbow-bright accessories!

Dami: Inspired by Nature - Bracelets of Colour

With this collection, I aimed for vibrancy and simplicity. I wanted pieces that felt right at home in nature but also retained a subtle tribal inclination. These bracelets were born of my reflections on the raw, edgy beauty of rocks, trees and the earth... the wild delicacy of forest blooms, and the flowers in my mum's gardens. Enjoy...
Many hugs and kisses to Tobi for taking these awesome shots!
